In Accidentally Amish Annie Friesen finds herself in a place she never expected to be, and her life is changed. In honor of Annie, celebrate the book’s release with me by answering in the comments,
Where is a place you never expected to be and how did it change your life?
And in honor of randomness, my twenty-something son, the king of randomness, will choose the answer he feels is best by whatever random standard he randomly determines.
No, not really. He won’t like the pressure. Instead, I’ll draw a random name and send the winner a signed copy of the book.
Who wants to play?
I never dreamed I’d be living in the center of a small Amish community in W. TN. I am treated as one of their own. I am an “English Grandmother” to approximately 25+ Amish children. At 62 years old, they keep me young and busy, playing and reading to them by the kerosene lamp. They are each so amazing and so loving!
P.S. I love reading your books!
I would love to be you…can you tell me your story? I can share mine with you as well…
Susan Mulderry,
Is that question directed to me? If not, I apologize.
Thanks,
Brenda Henry
Yes Brenda it is. Can you email me please? lubadunn@nycap.rr.com
I never expected to be moving to Illinois to live with and care for my mother who has Alzheimer’s. Leaving my home, husband, children and grandchildren back in Colorado Springs has been very difficult but when God sends you on a mission the only right answer is yes.
My husband and I, parents of 6, never dreamed we would experience unemployment for the 5th time in our 25 year marriage. It has taught us to rely on God in ways we never thought possible. He has been faithful every day!
Just read accidentally Amish and loved it. Is this part 1 of a series?
Cindy – yes, this is book 1 of 3. The next one, In Plain View, releases June 1. I’m so glad you enjoyed Accidentally Amish!
Me, I never expected to end up here in the USA. Originally from England I immigrated to Canada but honestly thought I would just travel as much as I could and return to my home in the UK. My major in college was hotel & catering yet ended up being a secretary in law enforcement in Colorado. Married & divorced then finally met my soul mate on Match.com of all places. What a surprise & a blessing. God has been so good to me. Just finished reading your book late last night & tickled to see another in the works. Thank you Olivia.
