Less than a month till the October 1 release day of Accidentally Amish! When I first start writing a book, whether under contract or not, I get consumed in plotting and dialogue and motivation. It can be hard to lift my eyes and see what will happen down the road.
And in the meantime, regular real life goes on. Frankly, a writer can only spend so much time thinking about release dates and stuff of that ilk.
And then one day I wake up and the release date is staring me in the face! I admit my heart beats a little faster.
I’m honored by endorsements I’ve received for this book. You can see them here. One of my favorites is from Erin Healy, a supernatural suspense writer who is also a good friend.
My knees quaked when I asked if she would read an Amish manuscript. I thought long and hard about hitting Send. But she said yes! And she liked it! Here’s what she says:
“What a thought-provoking tale about that intersection where the life we inherit meets the life we choose to lead. Accidentally Amish is a perfect blend of romance, history, mystery, and meaning.”
—Erin Healy, author of House of Mercy and The Baker’s Wife
Erin Healy totally gets my book. How cool is that?!

By living in the middle of a small Amish community in W. TN, with so many Amish friends, I am looking so forward to reading this book on my new Nook. Thanks.
Brenda
Brenda, I had a couple of Amish readers of the first draft who gave me great advice. I’ve learned Amish groups can be quite different from each other. Hope you enjoy!
This sounds like a great book! I’ll be adding it to my wishlist!
